The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, caregivers, and staff who work together to create meaningful experiences for our students and strengthen the connection between home and school.

By joining the PTA, you're helping to support programs, events, and activities that make Cottage Grove a vibrant and welcoming place for all students.

Cubs on Ice, Math Night, Movie nights, Multicultural Night, our Spring Festival, Game Nights, Reading Nights and other fun community building and family engagement events.

Safe Routes to School events including National Walk to School Day, Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, Bike to School Day, Bike Rodeos, Earth Day

Teacher Appreciation events throughout the year

Adopt-A-Book program to support funds for our school library

Creation and distribution of Cottage Grove Elementary's amazing full-color, hard cover annual Yearbook

PTA memberships are open to everyone. Joining doesn't require you to volunteer, attend meetings, or commit a certain amount of time. Becoming a member is simply a way to show your support for our school and help us continue providing valuable programs and opportunities for our students.
If you're interested in becoming more involved, there are many ways to participate, whether it's volunteering at an event, sharing ideas, serving on a committee, or simply becoming a member.
Together, we can continue creating memorable experiences for our students and building a strong school community!

Did you know our district currently provides limited field trips of 1-2 per year per grade level for grades 1-5? It's not enough! Our children need to get out into the community more! Help us fund the amazing programs and events we put on each year, as well as send our children on more field trips!

Getting involved in PTA is a great way to enhance your child's education and overall school experience.

Ways to get make a difference:

Come to a PTA meeting. Make your voice heard. Meetings are held throughout the year. Anyone can attend an association meeting. Only Members can vote.

Join a committee to provide feedback and help to plan one of our many events.

Volunteer - parent volunteers are needed for many school and PTA activities to run smoothly, including picture day, field trips, family events, festivals.
